Rillito River

The Rillito River runs through Tucson, Arizona. It is dry most of the year, except for during winter storms and monsoon season. Even during those times, there might be water in the river bed for an hour as the water runs off. Sometimes if there is more precipitation, it will flow for a few hours! The river has beautiful paths, some paved, some gravel, along the side - where I love to run and to take my son bike riding! People are always walking, running, biking, and even horseback riding along the trail. Serious bicyclists train Tucson over the winter because of the usually dry conditions. Rillito River bed (behind my son) - dry!
(And just another note - - why are my scheduled posts suddenly not posting when they are supposed to? Three days in a row, now.)
